About the role

We are a boutique CA firm that works with growth-stage startups and SMEs. Our work goes beyond compliance. We build financial models, run due diligence, support fundraises, structure transactions and act as the finance team for founders who do not have one yet.

We are looking for a Chartered Accountant who can own client relationships end to end. You will lead engagements, review the team's work and be the person founders call when they need a clear answer. You will work directly with the partners on mandates that shape how our clients raise money, close deals and run their finance function.

What you will do

• Lead Virtual CFO engagements: own month-end closing, MIS, board reporting and cash flow planning for a portfolio of startup clients

• Build and review financial models for fundraises, business plans and valuations

• Run financial and tax due diligence for investors and acquirers, and write the reports

• Advise on transaction structuring, FEMA filings and cross-border investment

• Review GST, TDS, income tax and ROC compliance prepared by the team

• Handle tax notices and represent clients before authorities where needed

• Manage and train articled assistants and junior staff

• Take part in client pitches and scope new engagements

Who we are looking for

• Member of ICAI with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience

• Hands-on experience with startups or SMEs, in a CA firm, a VCFO practice or an in-house finance role

• Strong in Excel and financial modelling. You can build a three-statement model from scratch and find the error in someone else's

• Working knowledge of Ind AS, GST, income tax, Companies Act and FEMA

• Experience in due diligence or fundraising support is a strong plus

• Clear writer. Your reports and emails go straight to founders and investors

• Has managed a small team and reviewed their work to a zero-error standard
